Thrifty Jello Idea

Last week I picked up 15 boxes of Gelatin at Walgreens. They were on sale for .20 cents each. I just wanted to share with you one of my favorite ways to use Jello.
Pretzel Jello Salad

Start out with the Crust:
1 1/2 cups crushed pretzels
3 tablespoons sugar
1 cube melter butter
Mix together, and press into the bottom of a 9×13 pan
Bake at 400 degrees for 7-10 minutes
Set aside and let cool COMPLETELY

Cream Cheese layer
1 (8oz) package of Cream Cheese softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 (8oz) cool whip
Mix together in bowl, then spread in an even layer on top of COOLED crust
Put in refrigerator for 1 hour

Jello layer
Dissolve 2 small packages of jello in 2 cups hot water, stir till completely dissolved.
Then add 1 1/2 cups frozen raspberry’s, ( or any other berry)
It will start to set up pour over the top of the cream cheese layer.
Refrigerate until firm
Before serving top with cool whip

My family LOVES this! Hope you enjoy it too!

  1. Yummy! I’ve had this before at a potluck. Thanks for sharing.

  2. That looks wonderful, I can’t wait to try it out for my family. I have a quick question regarding the cereal sale at Albie’s. Can you use the catalina towards that purchase or do you have to use it towards the next purchase of cereal? I am pretty new to couponing and not sure of all the “rules”. Thanks so much for sharing all your “talents” with us!

  3. Idaho Olsens, You will have to pay for the first 5 cereal…..then you can “roll” the catalina over and over for each group of cereal you buy after that.
